7.6 MISC Settings

Auto Answer - if this option is checked, STFax will automatically answer the phone when it detects an incoming call. STFax will wait until the number of rings set in the modem preferences are detected.
Quiet Modem - by selecting this, STFax will turn the modem speaker off.
Make Icons - if checked, STFax will create an icon for the faxes it saves.
Close = Iconify - if checked, the close gadget of STFax's main window will cause STFax to be iconified, not quit.
Auto Print - if checked, STFax will automatically print the incoming faxes. STFax will use the default printer as selected within your printer preferences.
Silent Answer - this will activate (only if your modem supports this feature - many do not) the Silent Answer feature. This means that STFax will answer only to incoming fax or data calls, but it will not answer voice calls, leaving your telephone to ring.
Borderless buttons - if this is checked, the icons/buttons will be borderless.
Buttons Type - select the different style of buttons for your button bar on the main window. The choices are graphics, graphics and text and text only.
Mode - you have five options: FAX/DATA, ONLY FAX, VOICE/FAX, VOICE ONLY and DATA ONLY.
In the first mode, STFax will spawn the external program set in the external programs requester when a data call is detected and the mini-bbs is not active.
Instead, in the ONLY FAX mode, STFax will send out the text saved in the file STFax:Data/NoData.txt when a data call is detected and then it will hang up. If the file doesn't exists, it will only hang up.
In VOICE/FAX mode, STFax will also handle incoming voice calls.
In VOICE ONLY mode STFax will work only as a speakerphone: if Auto Answer is on, STFax will answer automatically to incoming calls and you'll be able to talk via your headset.
In DATA ONLY mode, if the Mini-BBS is enabled, STFax will answer in data mode, initialising the Mini-BBS as soon as a data connection is established with the remote modem.
Refuse data call text - press this to edit the text that will be displayed to refuse data calls in the ONLY FAX mode.
Log - here you can set the logging level. The higher the level, the more information will be present within the log file (STFax:STFax.log).
NOTE: "Debug" level is the highest and if you have trouble with STFax, you should send me the log produced with this level along with your bug report.
Expire after (days) - the number of days after which STFax will delete the stored faxes from the list.
